Hello! My name is Kelly Hopkins; I am a licensed acupuncturist, yoga instructor, and owner of Paper Crane Acupuncture.

I became interested in acupuncture when I tried it in college as a means to relieve my headaches and neck pain. I loved it so much that I decided to veer from my plan to become a physician assistant and immerse myself in Chinese medicine!

I received my master’s degree in acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture, an affiliate of MCPHS University, where I studied both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, as well as orthopedic (trigger point) and auricular (ear) acupuncture. I had the opportunity to complete internships at Boston Medical Center in family medicine and inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. I also completed assistantships with several other clinics in the greater Boston area.

I also hold an associate of science in radiography and completed my BS in Health Sciences from the University of Southern Maine.

I continue to explore and learn about different styles of acupuncture that I can add to my practice, and was fortunate enough to study Esoteric Acupuncture, a system that helps to balance the chakras, with renowned acupuncturist and author Dr. Mikio Sankey.

Most recently, I fulfilled a personal goal of completing yoga teacher training at Emerald Yoga Studio in Pembroke, Massachusetts. I love being able to bring movement into my treatment space and recommend poses to my patients.
